A Study on the Effect of Metaverse-Based Virtual Experience Play Education on Children’s Creativity

With the development of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), various teaching media that combine early childhood education are being developed, and in the field of early childhood education, various educational methods are being sought with a lot of interest in the virtual experience play education environment such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). Therefore, in this study, whether children's creativity has a positive effect on the virtual experience play education environment was confirmed through a statistical hypothesis verification procedure, and the impact of metaverse-based virtual experience play education on creativity was quantitatively summarized. The purpose of this study is to examine the educational changes of virtual experience play education and to suggest educational directions for improving the possibility and quality of use in the field of early childhood education. The study was conducted on 120 children aged 4 and 5 from four daycare centers with similar sizes in class and number of children, and the children who participated in the study are currently organizing and operating the same curriculum focusing on life topics according to the curriculum. As a research method, two-way ANOVA, multiple variance analysis (ANCOVA), and independent sample T-test were performed according to the statistical hypothesis verification procedure of the Solomon 4 group to verify the hypothesis, the moderating effect by age was analyzed, and the pure experimental effect of the Solomon 4 group was analyzed.
