Disparities in Sociodemographic Factors of the Mother on Inequalities of Birth Outcomes in Low- and Middle-Income Countries

摘要

Socioeconomic disparities have a substantial impact on maternal and child health outcomes, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Maternal and child health outcomes are significant indicators of newborn health and development, with poorer education and socioeconomic backgrounds having a higher risk of unfavorable infant outcomes. These differences in outcomes increase the risk of death, health problems, stunted growth, developmental delays, and chronic diseases. Addressing these gaps through community-based programs and including the community in overall execution is crucial for long-term development and a healthier future for infants and their families in low- and middle-income nations.
