Developing Resources for Caregivers of Persons Living with Dementia in English-Speaking Caribbean Countries
摘要
The English-speaking Caribbean islands are expected to experience a substantial rise in the prevalence of dementia over the next two decades, posing a significant public health challenge. This increase will necessitate a greater number of caregivers to provide care for individuals living with dementia. Unfortunately, at present, there is a dearth of caregiver-specific resources to assist them in their vital role. In this chapter, we will discuss the methodologies we intend to employ to develop and culturally adapt an existing caregiver intervention program for caregivers in two English-speaking Caribbean countries.
