Integration of Urban Water Management in the Town Proposed Under Industrial Corridor Development, India

Water is an important natural resource as it aids all lifeforms on the earth, directly or indirectly. As the urban areas have expanded and are set to expand at a faster pace globally, water resources in every form have been impacted. From overuse, misuse, and contamination to the scarcity of fresh water’s availability, we have come to a point where management of water, in an urban area and beyond the urban area has become essential. In addition to human intervention, changing climate, haphazard, and organic planning in the cities also contribute to the complexity of the situation. Managing water in such a manner that complications at the baseline are addressed, various aspects of the urban water cycle are considered. To attain sustainable form of water resource usages new paradigms are adopted, which builds a holistic approach toward urban water system planning, provision, and management. Furthermore, they need to be integrated with the settlement planned for the area.
