Lattice Boltzmann Simulation of a Deploying Krueger Flap Device
摘要
We describe the performance of a lattice Boltzmann method for predicting the flow features of the turbulent unsteady flow generated during the motion of a Krueger flap designed for laminar wings. The simulations are performed using the Simulia XFlow solver. A wall-modeled large-eddy simulation approach (WMLES) is used to predict the turbulent flow effects. The numerical setup is described and the simulation results are compared with the high-quality experimental data obtained in the ONERA-L1 wind tunnel (W/T) during the H2020 UHURA project.
