Pediatric Visual Field Testing
摘要
Visual field testing (VFT) in children is critical for monitoring disease processes from glaucoma to neuro-ophthalmic conditions, and testing paradigms that are specifically tailored for pediatric patients need to be developed to increase the feasibility, sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility of these tests. Many of the current techniques are similar to what is used for adult patients, but VFT in children poses unique challenges. In this chapter, we will explore these challenges in detail, discuss the development of VFTs designed explicitly for children, review studies assessing these respective VFTs, and finally summarize their application in childhood glaucoma.
