摘要

Whether the design of outdoor air conditioning units can meet the actual needs of users and provide them with a good user experience directly affects product sales and subsequent user loyalty to the product and even the brand. A method for evaluating outdoor unit of air conditioner is proposed from the perspective of meeting user expectations. Evaluation indicators from four aspects: cost, achievable functionality, intelligence, and appearance. Firstly, based on the investigation and analysis of the target users of outdoor air conditioning units, four evaluation indicators are given. Then, the Analytic Hierarchy Process is applied to weight the evaluation indicators and determine the importance of each evaluation indicator. Finally, the TOPSIS method is applied to calculate the evaluation values of different schemes, achieving quantitative evaluation of different schemes. In the research case of A Company’s air conditioning B outdoor unit development project, the evaluation values of the alternative solutions were calculated to be 54.25%, 66.16%, and 41.70%, respectively. Finally, M2 was selected as the optimal solution. The engineering practice also verified the evaluation method proposed in this article and achieved good results.
