Improving the Service Quality in Fitness Industry by Using a Knowledge Graph Based Modeling Toolkit

In recent years, the vibrant growth in the fitness industry sector generated a significant increase in the number of available services, such as personal trainers or online training programs, or facilities, like indoor or outdoor gyms. However, the lack of an overview of all provided services and their contribution to the business’ profit translates into an inability in managing the effectiveness of the business and identifying the reasons why clients are giving up on them after a relatively short period. To overcome this, we designed a modeling toolkit for the fitness industry using the ADOxx fast prototyping platform, to assess the quality of the delivered services, evaluate risks and seek automation possibilities enabled by a knowledge graph that backs up the visual representations. The toolkit can be used by the managers of fitness facilities to obtain a perceived service quality from the customers’ perspective. Capturing the customers’ perceptions is more likely to improve the service creation for fitness and sport activities.
