Dressings for Necrosed Skin

Dressings can locally treat acute or chronic wounds. Some dressings can help with the debridement of wounds automatically in addition to the mechanical debridement that will most often be associated. Modern technical dressings allow at the same time to maintain a moist environment conducive to natural healing. They absorb exudates and debris when the wounds are wet and on the contrary provide water to soften the necrosis if they are dry. They are designed not to adhere to the wound bed and thus reduce pain during dressing changes.
