Skin Reconstruction Using Dermal Substitutes After Skin Necrosis

Even if due to different etiopathogeneses (for example, trauma, burns, post-oncological excision), skin necrosis is still a challenge for plastic surgeons who must personalize the treatment on different kinds of patients. In these last years, many acellular matrices have been proposed featured by different density, porosity, and time of degradation. In this chapter, we will revise the most used in European countries trying to better understand their features and their field of application.
