Protein C and Protein S Deficiencies
摘要
Protein C and protein S are vitamin K-dependent proteins with natural anticoagulant properties that play a major role in the coagulation pathway. Protein C is activated by the thrombin/thrombomodulin complex. Activated protein C cleaves membrane-bound active factors V and VIII and inactivates them. Protein C inhibitor and α-1 antitrypsin are the main inhibitors of protein C. Protein S is a cofactor of activated protein C and can also directly bond to activated factors V and X.
