Machine Learning and Multiple Imputation Methods

Machine learning (ML) methods comprise a set of techniques that learn from the data to build models that can help predict, classify, and cluster datasets using supervised and unsupervised training methods. The term machine learning is attributed to (Samuel in IBM J Res Dev 3(3):210–229, 1959). ML is a subfield of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the associated methods can help estimate missing data. Some of the ML methods are also called statistical machine learning methods. ML methods can be used to predict, classify, and cluster data.
