An Innovation with Analysis in the Krishna River Region Using Google Earth Engine seeks to provide comprehensive insights into surface water dynamics within the Krishna River basin, with a particular focus on the convergence region with the Godavari River, known as “SANGAMAM.’’ The primary aspect of this SANAGAMAM involves studying the PATTISEEMA lift irrigation project, primarily aimed at enhancing irrigation facilities near the Krishna River delta. The study delves into variations in surface water levels, changes, and water quality, analyzing trends over the period from 2015 to 2021 through a meticulous examination of satellite images and remote sensing data. Researchers employ a diverse array of methodologies and algorithms to accurately delineate water bodies from remote sensing data, allowing for a precise assessment of surface water dynamics. This approach facilitates detailed surface water mapping, comprehensive time-series analysis, and aids in effective water resource management and environmental preservation.
