摘要

Salt solutions can be used to maintain a particular value of relative humidity. Saturated aqueous solutions can be used to maintain particular values of relative humidity inside sealed containers. A saturated salt solution is a slimy mixture based on distilled water and a chemically pure salt. This is the humidity transfer standard main idea where a tightly sealed box is filled with a saturated salt solution to give a specific humidity; the box has two holes lined from the inside with cartridge allowing the passage of the humidity and blocking the passage of the solution to protect the sensing element. The box has two holes in order compare both the sensor that should be calibrated with the reference sensor cutting the regular calibrating time in half. Throughout this study the method of creating an on-site humidity transfer standard with already present materials in the market, a new design having its own purposes and overcoming its own stumbling blocks is discussed and proven.
