Conclusion

Community detection seems very intuitive since we all participate in many communities; indeed it seems to be wired into our social consciousness to be aware of the communities of which we are members and their membership and limits. Much of our ability seems to carry over into the online world, at least into genuine social networks, although not into settings where individuals have thousands of acquaintances.
