摘要

The phenomenon of gene expression has attracted the attention of biology and physics researchers for decades. It is most significant in medicine (pharmaceuticals, gene therapy) and agriculture (genetic modification). In this article, the Nose–Hoover thermostat is utilized to investigate the effect of environmental temperature on gene expression in the transcription stage. Due to the non-linear nature of the phenomenon, we use the chaos approach to analyze the results. The results indicated that the increase in ambient temperature is partly responsible for increasing the level of gene transcription. Therefore, 306 (K) was determined as the optimal temperature for Escherichia coli bacteria. Also, the dependence of the gene expression phenomenon on the protein and mRNA degradation rates and their threshold was determined. The results were confirmed through the Lyapunov exponent.
