Information Visualization Expression of Cultural Heritage and Innovation of Communication Paradigm Paths - The Overseas Communication of “The Compendium of Materia Medica” as an Example
摘要
Between the 17th and 20th centuries, the Chinese medical work Ben Cao Gang Mu (本草纲目), a representative of China’s outstanding canonical works, was mainly disseminated overseas through the paper-based medium, and the related editions and language translations became an important research topic, but one of the most noteworthy is the “pictorialization” of Ben Cao Gang Mu (本草纲目), which was also an early example of visualizing and promoting the dissemination of Ben Cao Gang Mu based on drawings. This is also an early example of visualizing and promoting the dissemination of the Materia Medica based on drawings. After entering the 21st century, the medium and structure of cultural communication have undergone great changes, and the domestic and overseas communication of the Materia Medica has shown the trend of digitization. From the current research and practice, it can be seen that, on the one hand, the digital communication of the Materia Medica is communicated in the form of information visualization and knowledge mapping, but from the view of the existing research results, the mining of information of the Materia Medica is too partial, and the interactivity is weak. Interactivity is weak and other problems. On the other hand, the dissemination of Materia Medica by means of film and video works, video games and other forms has shown a trend of entertainment, and this kind of practice and research also has the same problems of one-sided information mining and lack of experience as mentioned above. As a representative of China’s outstanding cultural texts, it is difficult to show the cultural charm it really contains. In order to solve the problems of formality and superficiality that exist in the current digital design of cultural heritage, this study focuses on the innovation of cultural heritage digital products and dissemination paradigms, taking the Compendium of Materia Medica as an example, aiming to make the dissemination of the multiple connotations of the excellent cultural heritage represented by the Compendium of Materia Medica more profound, with a stronger vitality and sustainability. The main academic contributions of this study are reflected in the following aspects: first, the dissemination of the digital products of the Compendium of Materia Medica makes full use of the advantages of digital interactive media in terms of its strong timeliness, wide scope of dissemination, and variety of dissemination modes, which allows users to actively participate, share, comment, and interact with the content, and can directly receive user feedback; it allows for the content to be continuously updated, and contains rich media content such as moving images, animations, games, knowledge maps, etc., and users can directly receive user feedback. It allows the content to be continuously updated and contains rich media content such as dynamic images, animations, games, knowledge maps, etc., so that users can often share the content with each other and get pleasure from it; it allows users to actively create various forms of content, so that users can share it with others through non-network and get feedbacks, and maximize the effect of dissemination with the help of these advantages; secondly, from the angle of informatization of Materia Medica, based on the theory of “Cultural Gene Secondly”, from the perspective of informatization of the Materia Medica, based on the theory of “cultural genes” and the use of information visualization, knowledge mapping and other technologies and means, it summarizes and summarizes the knowledge of the Materia Medica, the process of inheritance and evolution of the cultural system, and records it in an orderly manner, so as to systematically and clearly excavate the cultural genes contained therein, and ultimately to form a visualized and interactive cultural gene map of the Materia Medica. Finally, following the trend of entertainment in cultural communication, research is conducted on the RPG game themed on “Materia Medica”, which has stronger narrative and interactivity than other entertainment means, and is more capable of carrying a complete story and rich emotions. Through the innovation of the above modes, a multimodal and multi-channel cultural content dissemination paradigm of cultural heritage will be constructed in the end. This study adopts the research perspective of cross-fusion of disciplines based on design to conduct cross-cultural communication research, enhances the innovation and creativity of the subject research through design thinking and innovative thinking, provides more diversified and creative programs and strategies, and increases the attractiveness and influence of digital cross-cultural communication. The digital design of cultural heritage is to use digital and information technology to explore the sustainable development path of cultural heritage revitalization and utilization, and to form a new pattern of diversified protection and inheritance. From the cultural resources end, cultural heritage digitization can promote the transformation of massive cultural heritage resources from data to assets, and promote the sustainable development of social and economic benefits by meeting the ever-changing cultural communication needs of the market.
