Reorganization
摘要
This chapter deals with reorganization, meaning to resolve previously unresolved trauma, abuse, and neglect. The aim is to create a new, more coherent narrative. This relies on a more balanced and undistorted processing of information about the past so that new possibilities for the future are created. This is reflected in changes in the client’s life that reflect a deep and global change in how information is processed that is evident in new behaviours. The grieving process is discussed and elaborated, along with the ‘spin cycle’ when clients are stuck in the first three phases of denial, anger, and blaming and bargaining.
