The Dynamic Maturational Model of Attachment

This chapter discusses briefly the evolution of the Dynamic Maturational Model (DMM) and draws a brief comparison between the DMM and the ABC+D model of attachment. It briefly discusses the erroneous assumptions that have led the ABC+D model astray. The AAI is introduced and its administration discussed. Coding of the transcript is introduced, along with Grice’s maxims, childhood history, dispositional representations, discourse markers, and options for working with attachment concepts prior to having attachment training.
