Maslow’s Modified Hierarchy
摘要
This chapter introduces that idea that while attachment theory describes our strategies for getting needs met, Maslow’s Modified Hierarchy is a guide to identifying what those needs are. The traditional 5 levels of need are discussed, along with the addition of the nurtural need as the second level, and the self-transcendent need as the seventh level. The rationale for the addition of these needs is discussed. The needs of each level are discussed and the ways we go about getting those needs met are explored. Some misunderstandings are addressed.
