Food quality monitoring assesses and analyzes the quality and safety of food products to ensure that they meet the desired standards and regulations. This process is essential to ensure our food is safe, nutritious, and of good quality. It involves various activities, including testing for microbial contamination, chemical residues, and physical properties. Surfactant sensors play a vital role in detecting the presence and concentration of surfactants in food products and improving the sensitivity of different analytical methods, which can help prevent food quality issues caused by surfactant contamination. These sensors measure the changes in electrical or optical signals when surfactants are present in the sample. Using surfactant sensors in food quality monitoring has several benefits; they provide a rapid and accurate method of detecting surfactants, reducing the need for time-consuming and costly laboratory testing. Additionally, they can be integrated into automated monitoring systems, allowing for real-time monitoring of surfactant levels in food processing facilities.
