Concerning Silicon Photonic devices nonlinear effects are triggered at relatively low power. First, a deep theoretical analysis of the phenomena occurring in this context is provided. Then, an algorithm to counteract the distortion of the frequency response of the device under investigation (induced by the presence of high-optical-power signals) is proposed and validated through spectral measurements and bit error rate assessment.
