Investigating different consumption management options to prevent water loss should include all types of analysis including cost–benefit analysis. The cost–benefit analysis includes current production cost, income level, profitability of project implementation, and technical, economic, and operational comparison of different projects. In the conditions of lack of financial resources, it is necessary to perform a cost–benefit analysis. To prevent water wastage, household consumers can control the uses outside their home, such as gardening, and car washing, through different methods. These methods can be physical using tools or natural. For example, planting plants with low water consumption and appropriate to the climatic conditions of the region is a natural method. Using water sprinklers as a physical method can improve the efficiency of using water resources. In general, the use of consumption-reducing devices should have the same function as the usual sanitary facility equipment. The consumption-reducing installation should not reduce the work efficiency of the existing sanitary facility system. These devices should even be able to increase the efficiency of daily activities while using sanitary facilities. The current work, has investigated the effect of installing consumption improvement tools on improving efficiency and saving in the use of water resources. A flow meter, flow recorder (data logger), and modem were installed on each of the consumption components, such as faucets, toilets, bathrooms, and kitchens. Each modem sends information through Remote Sensing (RS) to the central system with its frequency. The effects of using a water consumption reducer on per capita consumption also was investigated. The installation of consumption reducers on the Fixtures Units led to a 43.82% saving in drinking water.
