Brief, intensive, and/or concentrated (BIC) treatments have received empirical attention given their potential clinical utility. A number of studies have investigated the potential of these approaches. The following edited volume is dedicated to better summarizing and understanding these BICs; this chapter serves as an introduction to this textbook.
