Conclusions

This book stemmed from the awareness of the difficulty of betraying territoriality in the global order of data. It started from the binary vision of the world nestled between the Schmittian need for concrete sovereignty over space, and the Kelsenian quest for universal jurisdiction for which sovereignty can be denied, but it remained stuck between back and forth. Conceptually, although this book is profoundly inspired by this opposition, it has attempted to overcome it by moving from assumptions that depart from the two theories examined. The aim pursued has been to conceptualize alternatives to territoriality with respect to data regulation.
