摘要

Studies on game research have gained attention in recent years. Beyond their recreational value, games have been recognized as powerful tools for cultivating creativity, with game aesthetics emerging as an important factor. While a plethora of research has investigated aspects of game engagement and retention, few studies have examined the link between elements of game aesthetics and the enjoyment experienced during gameplay, as well as the subsequent intention to continue playing. Thus, this study introduces a novel approach that examines the influence of game aesthetics on player engagement and retention within the context of open-world single-player games. Through empirical verification, we confirm this approach and identify which factors most significantly impact gaming outcomes. This investigation provide an evaluative paradigm for game aesthetics, enriching the future academic study in this field.
