Infectious Keratitis
摘要
Infection keratitis is the most feared complication that can occur following refractive surgery and can lead to serious vision impairment or even blindness. This chapter provides an overview of the various presentations of viral, bacterial, and fungal infections. The clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management of these infections are discussed in each of the presented cases. Additionally, the chapter provides guidance for clinicians on how to minimize the risks of permanent LASIK flap damage by careful selection of patients needing a flap lift. Overall, this chapter is an essential resource for ophthalmologists and optometrists involved in the care of patients following refractive surgery.
