Corneal Haze

Corneal haze is a well-known complication occurring due to abnormal corneal healing following PRK. Subepithelial densities may appear weeks to months following surgery. There are several known risk factors that contribute to its occurrence, and various preventive measures can be taken to minimize its incidence. Medical treatment has been proven to be effective in reducing the density and resolving mild haze. However, severe cases may require additional intervention to achieve optimal visual outcomes. The cases in this chapter will guide the categorization of patients using the grading system, and outline effective management strategies used for optimal visual recovery.
