摘要

Femtosecond laser creates cavitation bubbles and acoustic waves that dissect through the cornea at specific depth creating a flap. These bubbles can complicate surgery by dissecting anteriorly creating a vertical gas breakthrough, posteriorly forming anterior chamber bubbles or intrastromal causing an opaque bubble layer. This chapter discusses the preventive measures to avoid these complications, the risk factors, the clinical presentation and the current management.
