摘要

Corneal incisions for refractive correction have a long history and predate laser procedures. Patients who have undergone these procedures now present to clinic with late complications. Several cases are included to demonstrate these older techniques of keratectomy and some of the encountered complications as well as recommended treatment modalities. Nowadays, limbal relaxing incisions are still being used during cataract surgery to decrease astigmatism, while astigmatic keratotomy is being used in selective cases of high postsurgical astigmatism.
