摘要

This chapter is focused on the use of phakic intraocular lens (IOL) implants for the correction of refractive errors. The chapter discusses different types of phakic IOLs, including anterior chamber, iris-fixated, and sulcus lenses. The chapter includes clinical cases to help readers better understand the normal positioning of phakic IOLs, as well as complications that may arise following their implantation, including corneal decompensation, cataract, dislocation, and rotation. By discussing the different types of phakic IOLs and potential complications, the chapter helps clinicians make informed decisions about the use of these devices in their patients. Also, it will guide the treatment of complications encountered following surgery.
