Diffuse Lamellar Keratitis
摘要
Diffuse Lamellar Keratitis (DLK) can develop after multiple corneal surgeries, such as laser in situ keratomileusis or small incision lenticule extraction. The most common cause of DLK is damage to the epithelium during or after surgery, although other factors like infections and exposure to toxic substances during the procedure can also play a role. Treatment typically involves the use of topical corticosteroids, but in severe cases, a flap lift irrigation or systemic corticosteroids may be necessary. The various stages of DLK are covered in this chapter along with the appropriate management techniques for each stage. Timely detection and management of DLK is crucial to prevent further progression and avoid potential vision loss and corneal scarring.
