An Overview of Web Services, Grid Computing and Grid Services

Over the last few decades, the usefulness of Web services and Grid computing has grown. Their success stems from the fact that they address a wide range of issues pertaining to the management of information systems, the homogenization of data sources, the integration of applications, the exploitation of unused or little used resources, etc. As a result, the research and development activities surrounding them are extremely dynamic. Thus, Web services, Grid computing, and Grid services are explained in this article.
