A Robust Control of Wind Turbine System Based on H∞ Method for Use in Water Pumping System

To effectively manage the power of stator (active, reactive) in a direct drive vertical axis wind turbine energy system utilizing a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) applied in pumping system, this research introduces the Direct Field Orientation Control based on the H∞ strategy (DFOC/H∞). Traditional PI controllers exhibit sensitivity to parameter uncertainties, which is a significant drawback. To overcome this limitation, we employ the H∞ approach. The performance of the proposed H∞ controller is rigorously evaluated using Simulink and Matlab, with a specific focus on its ability to enhance the quality of energy supplied to the power grid. The simulation results demonstrate the superior performance of the H∞ controller, especially in applications like water pumping systems.
