Implementation of Smart Parking Using an IoT Based System

Due to the proliferation in the number of vehicles to control on the road, traffic problems are inevitable. This is due to the fact that the current transportation infrastructure and car park facilities are unable to cope with the influx of vehicles on the road. In this work, we are heading to automate the Parking process using an IOT based system. It consists of three main parts: The self-parking car, the mobile application, and the smart parking. The late gathers information about the current state of the available spots by checking the measurements received from sensors, and then it sends the data to the user through database that could be accessed via mobile application so the user can visualize his destination and choose the appropriate spot, the final step of the process will be done when the application gives instructions to the car which will follow them to park automatically without the need of manual assistance.
