Performance Evaluation of a Real Polycrystalline Photovoltaic Field Under Desert Conditions
摘要
This paper’s goal is to examine the operation of the polycrystalline photovoltaic field at the Oued Nechou location in Ghardaia, Algeria. To comprehend the performances of this PV plant, panel, and array have been modelled and simulated under various input situations. In order to assess the PV plant and determine the solar energy potential in the examined region, the polycrystalline PV plant has also been simulated by using climate data. The results demonstrate how the performance of photovoltaic systems is significantly influenced by external conditions, mainly the temperature and irradiation. This causes changes in the performance ratio and output of electrical energy. Furthermore, they demonstrate that the area has a good solar potential which provides the production of an acceptable power despite the local environment, which promotes the development of new PV there.
