摘要

One of the most important problems within photovoltaic (PV) systems is the tracking of the maximum power point in a PV module, the objective of this work is to develop the simulation of a MPPT controller with adaptive PID to improve the performance compared to conventional controllers such as the MPPT P&O (perturb and observe) and the MPPT Incremental Conductance controller. After validation of the PV module model, the PV model provided by simulink library is used, in addition, the PV system also consists of a step-down DC/DC converter to supply a 24 V battery. PID tuning is performed for irradiances in the range of 0 to 1000 [W/m2] in steps of 100 [W/m2] while the MPPT P&O controllers and the MPPT Incremental Conductance controller are implemented with their respective algorithms. The PV system has been subjected to ramp and step irradiance references, before a ramp type reference the controllers follow the reference without difficulties, however, before all the step type references the controller with the best performance is the MPPT with adaptive PID, followed by the MPPT Incremental Conductance, the MPPT P&O controller presents the worst performance.
