Activation of Reactions
摘要
While equilibrium thermodynamics gives the final equilibrium state, it cannotdescribe the approach to equilibrium. In this chapter, we use simple modelsfor reaction kinetics to discuss activation barriers in chemical reactions. Evaluationof the second law gives the corresponding entropy generation rate.
