More on Property Relations
摘要
The laws of thermodynamics are formulated for energy and entropy, that is, properties that are not directly measurable. Property relations are required to link these to measurable properties, such as temperature, volume and pressure. Since the state of a simple substance is known when two properties are known, property relations are strongly interconnected. In this chapter we explore property relations with respect to measurements, and the multitude of connections between them that arise from the Gibbs equation.
