摘要

Ethnobiology is today a well-constituted scientific field; nevertheless, the training of ethnobiologists is still, in many cases asystematic and is the result of their participation in research teams or fieldworks that involve approaching and interacting with social communities. We present three cases of educational training in ethnobotany under development in Latin America, two of them at the degree level (FCNyM-UNLP and FCA-UNJu) and one at postgraduate level (UNICAUCA) to reflect on the importance of formal teaching of ethnobiology. We consider that these three Latin American experiences of undergraduate and postgraduate links exemplify followed paths and future projections, generating possibilities for growth based on academic interactions with social application, and reveal the importance of strengthening ethnobiological studies in the South.
