Conservation and Identification of Botanical Materials in Ethnobiological Studies
摘要
An integrative review of the current state of the various actions carried out on the conservation and taxonomic determination of the botanical and phycological materials from ethnobiological investigations taken place in Argentina is presented. Among these implemented actions in different institutional spaces and from diverse profiles, we highlight the experience of the Museum of Pharmacobotany “Juan A. Domínguez” and the progress in diffusion, databases, and digital works improved by the development of technology. A synopsis of the microscopic techniques applicable in the respective identifications and, in a later step, of their use to indicate issues related to the botanical quality of products, fundamentally medicinal and food, is included.
