Evaluation Guidelines
摘要
In this chapter, we will learn about the general evaluation approach to be applied when evaluating research applications and outcomes which involves assessing reviewer suitability, acknowledging the default review position, establishing an acceptance threshold, and cultivating a constructive review style. Then we will learn about the two sets of evaluation criteria for socio-technical grounded theory (STGT), one for evaluating the application and the other for evaluating the outcomes. We will learn about the two evaluation criteria for STGT application: credibility and rigour. Next, we will learn about the criteria for evaluating the outcomes of applying STGT in a limited context for data analysis: originality, relevance, and density. Then we will cover the criteria for evaluating the outcomes of a full STGT study, including both basic and advanced stages, to produce mature theoretical outcomes: novelty, usefulness, parsimony, and modifiability.
