Piazza Armerina Hydrogeological Basin

The Piazza Armerina basin is located in central-eastern Sicily, including part of the territory of the provinces of Enna and Caltanissetta, bordered to the south by the Mediterranean Sea, to the southeast by the Hyblean plateau, to the east by the Catania Plain and the volcanic edifice of Etna, to the north by the Nebrodi Mts and to the west by the Caltanissetta Trench.
