Hydrogeological Basin of the Hyblean Mountains

The basin of the Hyblean Mountains occupies the south-eastern extremity of Sicily and is a vast sub-circular plateau culminating at the centre at Mt Lauro, 987 m a.s.l., from which numerous offshoots radiate out in a gentle slope in all directions.
