Preliminary Study on Flick-Based Text Input on HMD’s Front
摘要
In virtual reality (VR), users use text input in various situations, including text chat, email, and search. For text input in VR, various methods have been developed. In this work, we designed a text input method, which we call FaceFlick, which uses the front of the HMD to provide tactile feedback for flick input in VR. We conducted a preliminary user study to compare the input speed and accuracy of FaceFlick with an existing flick input method in VR. The results showed that FaceFlick surpassed the baseline in terms of input speed and NASA-TLX score.
