摘要

The reported 30-day mortality percentage after revision total knee arthroplasty (rTKA) is 0.36% on average. Regarding the percentage of deaths per age, 1 in 80 individuals (1.25%) aged 80–89 years die following rTKA compared to 1 in 720 individuals (0.13%) aged 60–69 years. Besides, individuals who experience septic rTKA have a fourfold increase in mortality compared to aseptic rTKA. In a study, rTKAs were projected to increase up to 155% by 2030. In other study, the yearly total number of revision procedures was forecast to augment by almost 90% by 2050. The burden associated with rTKA remains large.
