Clinical Results in Myopia/Myopia with Astigmatism Correction Using SILK®
摘要
“This chapter presents the initial clinical results of myopiaMyopia and myopia with astigmatism correctionAstigmatism correction using the ELITA™ smooth incision lenticular keratomileusis (SILK) procedure, a novel keratorefractive lenticule extractionKeratorefractive lenticule extraction (KLEx) (KLEx) technology. Conducted in two Indian centers, the prospective study involved 170 eyes of 85 subjects. The procedure showcased an easy lenticule removal, with 85.3% of cases graded as “no dissection needed” or “mild dissection needed.” At six-month post-operative, 63% of eyes achieved uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) of 20/16 or better, and 92% had residual astigmatismAstigmatism of 0.50 D or less. The ELITA™ SILK procedure, blending laser-assisted in situ keratomileusisLaser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) (LASIK) advantages with KLExKeratorefractive lenticule extraction (KLEx) features, proves to be a promising approach for laser refractive correction, offering high precision and rapid visual recovery. Further refinement of the nomogram could enhance post-operative outcomes, solidifying the potential of ELITA™ SILK in myopia correctionMyopia correction.”
