Lenticule and Interface Properties in CLEAR®

The FEMTO LDV Z8 and its newer version FEMTO Z8 NEO (Fig. 26.1) are compact portable laser systems designed for carrying out surgery on the anterior segment of the eye. A laser applicator is applied by the surgeon in an instrument style fashion (Fig. 26.2). This way neither the surgeon nor the patient has to move during surgery. Patient movements are compensated by an articulated arm. This flexible arrangement keeps the surgical area clear before and after the laser intervention and allows the surgeon to use a microscope and bed of his/her choice.
