Artificial Intelligence in Engineering Education: The Future Is Now
摘要
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in engineering education has the potential to revolutionize how we teach and learn. However, it also raises many ethical and practical concerns, such as perpetuating and amplifying biases and inequalities, potential cheating issues, and even the possibility of replacing human educators altogether. While AI has already begun to enter the field of higher education, the recent introduction of new powerful AI chatbots will undoubtedly rapidly democratize the use of AI in education for both educators and students. In the current literature on AI in education, there is a lack of practical examples to help us better understand the full potential impact of AI on education. This paper addresses this gap by discussing the implementation and effectiveness of AI-powered intelligent tutoring systems in engineering education and exploring the ethical and practical considerations of their use.
