摘要

Predictive models of corrosion represent the aspect of corrosion that involves the adoption of a variety of models like the Fuzzy model. The Fuzzy modelling finds application in the corrosion process, especially in different corrosive environments like the oil and gas environment. The book chapter aims to elaborate on the development of Fuzzy modelling in oil and gas pipeline coating, indicating the core corrosion mechanism and how the Fuzzy model could predict the future occurrence of corrosion in the oil and gas pipeline coating. The Fuzzy modelling and its relationship with biocorrosion are also elucidated. The major function of Fuzzy modelling of scale corrosion in oil pipelines and its advances in coating oil pipelines are well reported. Furthermore, the recent challenges of adopting Fuzzy modelling in corrosion research have been elucidated for easy understanding by researchers and industrial experts.
